
Stothart, Newman named to NWPC All-Tournament Teams

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown's Ilias Stothart was named Rookie of the Tournament and was also named to the First Team All-Tournament for the NWPC Championship. Kole Newman was named to the Second Team All-Tournament.
Stothart led the Bears with nine goals in the three games of the tournament. The freshman started the tournament with six goals against Iona and three goals against Princeton. He also drew nine exclusions, three in each game, and a penalty in the third-place game against Harvard.
Newman had a strong performance in his first NWPC tournament, finishing the weekend with 24 blocks in goal. Newman allowed just three goals and had 12 blocks against Iona, before an eight-block performance against Princeton. Against Harvard, Newman finished with four blocks in one half of play.
