Sailing takes third at ICSA Match Race Nationals

SAN DIEGO – The Brown sailing team finished in third place at the ICSA Match Race Nationals this weekend out of ten competing teams.
Yale claimed first place, Charleston second, with the Bears rounding out the top three. Georgetown, Tulane, Tufts, Coast Guard, Stanford, Wisconsin, and King's Point were the other teams competing and finished in that order.
Liam O'Keefe, Hunter Zonnenberg, Hannah Sellers, and Tommy Styron competed for Brown.
The Bears earned their way into the quarterfinals where they faced off against Coast Guard. Brown advanced 2-0.
In the semifinals, the Bears competed against Charleston, who earned the 2-0 victory.
In the petite finals, Brown took down Georgetown 2-1 to earn third place.
This competition wraps up the fall schedule for both of Brown's sailing teams.
