Field Hockey Heads to Seventh-Ranked Princeton for Sunday Showdown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (8-7, 1-4 Ivy League) heads to the Garden State to take on the seventh-ranked Princeton Tigers (11-4, 5-0 Ivy League) at noon on Sunday at Bedford Field.
Sunday's game will stream on ESPN+ with live stats through Princeton Athletics.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with an 8-7 overall record and looking to snap a five-game skid. The Bears will also look to play spoiler to the Tigers on Prineton's Senior Day.
- Freshman Lexi Pellegrino leads the Bears with 10 goals and 24 points. Her 10 goals rank fifth among freshmen in the NCAA and her 24 points rank sixth.
- Lucy Adams ranks second on the team with five goals and 15 points.
- Senior Lindsey Ross and sophomore Mikayla Walsh are tied for the team-lead with nine assists apiece. The duo is tied for 20th in the NCAA in assists.
- As a team, Brown's offense ranks second in the Ivy League with 2.20 goals per game.
- Senior goalkeeper Jodie Brine has started all 15 games for the Bears in 2022. Brine holds a 1.79 goals against average and .682 save percentage along with three shutouts.
- The seventh-ranked Tigers enter the weekend with notable wins over Maryland, Syracuse, Rutgers, UConn, and Harvard this season. Princeton can claim at least a share of the Ivy League title with a win over Brown or Columbia in the next two weeks.
- Princeton enters the weekend with four losses on the season with three coming against top-10 opponents: Louisville, North Carolina, and Northwestern.
- Sophomore Beth Yaeger leads the Tigers in goals (11) and points (29) and ranks third on the team in assists (7). The reigning Ivy League Player of the Year ranks 12th in the NCAA with 2.07 points per game and 15th in the NCAA with 0.79 goals per game.
- As a team, Princeton boasts the top-ranked offense in the Ivy League with 3.20 goals per game. That mark places them seventh in the NCAA. The Tigers rely on their penalty corner offense as they lead the NCAA with 9.00 corners per game.
- Robyn Thompson has started 14 games between the pipes for Princeton and holds a 1.72 goals against average and .727 save percentage.
- Sunday's game marks the 45th meeting between the Bears and Tigers in a series dating back to 1979.
- Princeton holds a 35-8-1 all-time record in the series and have not fallen to the Bears since 1999.
