Men's basketball announces captains for 2022-23 season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown Men's Basketball Head Coaching Chair Mike Martin '04 has announced the team's captains for the 2022-23 seaoson. Seniors Paxson Wojcik and Perry Cowan, junior Dan Friday, and sophomore Nana Owusu-Anane will lead the team this season.
"Our team is fortunate to have leadership qualities and potential throughout the roster and I think this year's vote demonstrates the depth of those abilities," Martin said. "Perry, Paxson, Dan, and Nana will all lead in their own style and I'm confident that their teammates will follow."
Wojcik played and started in 27 games last season posting 9.6 points and 3. 0 rebounds per game.
Cowan made three starts while playing in 25 games as a junior. He scored 15 points and made a career-high five threes in a win over Harvard on Jan. 7.
As a sophomore, Friday played in 25 games, starting 21, and was third on the team in assists (60) and second in steals (29).
Rounding out the group, Owusu-Anane had an impressive freshman campaign as he averaged 5.7 points per game across four starts and 21 games played. He posted a career-high 20 points at national runner-up North Carolina on Nov. 12.
The Bears start their season on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Vermont.
