PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rothman Head Coaching Chair for Men's Lacrosse Mike Daly has announced the addition of volunteer assistant coach Aaron Leeds ahead of the 2023 campaign.
Leeds rounds out the staff alongside assistant coaches Brett Holm and John Svec as well as Operations Coordinator Alec Tocco.
"I'm excited to announce the addition of Aaron Leeds to the staff and welcome him to Brown University," said Daly. "Coach Leeds brings a wealth of experience to Brown from his time as a player and coach at Salisbury and RPI and will be an excellent fit with our program and culture. I have tremendous respect for Coach Berkman and his Championship Culture and feel strongly in Coach Leeds ability to help bring that to our program."
Leeds was a four-year member of the Salisbury University lacrosse program, graduating in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science.
Following his collegiate career, Leeds spent one season as an assistant lacrosse coach at Ferrum College before serving as an assistant for two seasons at RPI in Troy, New York.
In 2020, Leeds returned to Salisbury as a graduate assistant coach and helped the Sea Gulls capture consecutive Coast-to-Coast Conference Championships. Salisbury reached the 2021 National Championship game, falling to RIT.
Leeds earned his Master of Education in Post-Secondary Education in 2022 from Salisbury.
As a player, Leeds captained Salisbury as a senior in 2017 and led the Sea Gulls to their second straight National Championship while picking up All-Conference and All-America honors as a defenseman.
Operations coordinator Alec Tocco joined the Brown staff in early March 2022 and served in the operations role for the remainder of the 2022 season.
"Alec has been a tremendous addition to our program and had an instant impact since his start in March," Daly commented. "We're excited to continue to build this program with Alec and Aaron."
Tocco earned his Bachelor's Degree in 2019 and Master's Degree in 2020 from SUNY Plattsburgh, where he was a five-year member of the men's lacrosse team. Tocco and the Cardinals captured the 2017 SUNYAC Championship.
The Kerhonkson, New York native excelled in the classroom, picking up SUNYAC Academic Commissioner's Honor Roll honors as well as the SUNYAC Elite 20 Award.
