Field Hockey Posts Second Consecutive Shutout, Defeat Dartmouth 2-0

HANOVER, N.H. – The defense continues to shine in Britt Broady's first season at the helm of the Brown field hockey program with the Bears blanking Dartmouth 2-0 on Saturday morning at Chase Field. With the win, Brown improved to 7-2 on the year and 1-1 in Ivy League play with Dartmouth falling to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in league action.
Jodie Brine registered four saves to improve to 7-2 and Big Green goalkeeper Hatley Post fell to 3-3 on the year. Lexi Pellegrino continues her sensational freshman campaign and extended her lead league in goals and points per game with the opening goal in the first quarter. Pellegrino now has nine on the year.
Pellegrino made it 1-0 five minutes into the conference contest. Lucy Adams beat the goalkeeper in the second for her first goal of the game and a 2-0 Bears lead. Brine made three saves in the first half.
The second half showcased Brown's defense with Dartmouth limited to one shot on goal in the final 30 minutes.
Broady graduated from Dartmouth in 2001 and was an All-Ivy goalkeeper for the Big Green.
