Field Hockey Readies for Dartmouth; Wagner

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (6-2, 0-1 Ivy League) return to conference play with a road contest against the Dartmouth Big Green (3-5, 0-1 Ivy League) on Saturday (Oct. 1) before returning to College Hill to welcome the Wagner Seahawks (4-4, 0-0 NEC) on Sunday (Oct. 2).
Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. while Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. Both games will stream on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- Brown enters the weekend with a 6-2 overall record and 0-1 Ivy League mark. Both of Brown's losses have come in overtime this season.
- The Bears are tied for 12th in the NCAA with 3.00 goals scored per game. Freshman Lexi Pellegrino leads the team with eight goals through eight games and she is tied for fifth in the NCAA in goals per game. Just nine Division I players average one or more goals per game.
- Lindsey Ross and Mikayla Walsh are tied for the team-lead with eight assists and both rank second in the NCAA with 1.00 assists per game. Only four players average one or more assists per game.
- Defensively, Brown allows 1.88 goals per game to rank fourth in the Ivy League. Goalkeeper Jodie Brine has started all eight games in 2022 and holds a .723 save percentage and 1.60 goals against average.
- Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 3-5 overall record and 0-1 Ivy League mark. The Big Green entered last weekend's Ivy opener with a three-game win streak, but fell 3-1 at Cornell on Friday (Sept. 23) before a 6-0 loss at 11th-ranked Syracuse on Sunday (Sept. 25).
- Dartmouth averages 2.00 goals per game to rank third in the Ivy League and tied for 34th in the NCAA. Myah Pease leads the team with three goals but five other players have two goals this season.
- Hatley Post has made six starts between the pipes this season and holds a 2.81 goals against average and .650 save percentage. Post has picked up all three Big Green wins in 2022.
- Dartmouth averages just 4.00 penalty corners per game to rank seventh in the Ivy League and tied for 67th in the country.
- Saturday marks the 46th meeting between Brown and Dartmouth in a series dating back to 1976. Dartmouth holds a 29-14-2 all-time record in the series.
- Brown holds a 4-2 record against Dartmouth in the last six meetings dating back to 2015, including the most recent meeting in 2021, a 3-0 Bruno win.
- Wagner enters the weekend with a 4-4 overall record and a 1-2 record against Ivy League opponents. The Seahawks took a 2-1 win over Yale before falling to Cornell and Columbia.
- Julia Pastorino leads the Wagner offense with three goals and 10 points through eight games. Kira Mordvinov also has three goals this season and Kayla Kruk has chipped in two goals and two assists.
- Daisy Ruhle has started all eight games in goal for Wagner and holds a 1.77 goals against average and .769 save percentage. Ruhle's save percentage ranks 18th in the NCAA.
- Sunday marks the first-ever meeting between Brown and Wagner.
