Coaching Change Announced Within Track & Field and Cross Country Programs

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown University announced today of a leadership change within the Track and Field and Cross Country programs.

"We appreciate the dedication and years of service Coach Springfield has given to the track and field and cross country programs," said Vice President of Athletics and Recreation M. Grace Calhoun. "The commitment and coaching Tim has provided for our student-athletes were admirable. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Ken Hunt, Associate Head Coach for Track & Field, has been appointed Interim Head Coach of Track and Field and Cross Country. Coach Hunt, a two-time NCAA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year recipient, joined Brown's coaching staff in 2012 and coaches the men's and women's horizontal jumps, vertical jumps, and multi-events. Hunt was promoted to the position of Associate Head Coach of Track and Field/Anne Rothenberg Assistant Coaching Chair in September of 2020.
