Owusu-Anane Competes for Team Canada U19 at FIBA Basketball World Cup

DAUGAVPILS, LATVIA – Brown University men's basketball freshman Nana Owusu-Anane (Burlington, Ontario) was named to Team Canada for the U19 team competing in the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in Latvia this summer.
The 6-8 forward comes to Brown from Putnam Science Academy where he averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds per game as a junior.
Owusu-Anane has played in two games thus far for Team Canada (2-0) averaging 6 points and 6 rebounds per contest while averaging about 20 minutes per game in Group A victories over Lithuania and Japan.
Team Canada faces Senegal (1-1) tomorrow at City Arena in Daugavpils, Latvia at the Daugavpils Olympic Center.
