
Tilton Set to Join Baseball Staff as Assistant Coach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Christopher Tilton, previously the pitching coach at Colby College, is set to join the Brown University baseball staff as an assistant coach and act as the team's pitching coach, Brown head coach Grant Achilles announced on Monday.

Known for building cultures of excellence and integrity, Tilton served as the pitching coach at Colby from 2019-21. Alongside his time at Colby, he has gained an array of experience at the collegiate, prep, and summer ball levels.

At Colby, Tilton developed the physical and mental skills of the pitching staff, including through the use of analytics, while also contributing significantly to the team's recruiting efforts.

Prior to his time at Colby, Tilton served as the head coach at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in New Hampshire during the 2018 season. He acted as the pitching coach at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina in 2017 following a stint as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Assumption College in Massachusetts in 2016. Tilton worked as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at St. Michael's College in Vermont during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Alongside his experiences at the collegiate and prep levels, Tilton has coached multiple teams in collegiate summer baseball leagues. He served as the manager of the Norsemen of the Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League from 2018-20. Tilton acted as the manager of the Seacoast Mavericks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2015 and worked as the pitching coach for the North Shore Navigators of the FCBL in summer 2014.

A native of Rochester, N.H., Tilton earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2014.
