
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month 2021: Caroline Morant ’17, Gymnastics

Throughout the month of May, Brown Athletics will celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.
Caroline Morant '17, Gymnastics
Caroline Morant completed one of the most decorated careers in Brown gymnastics history, totaling 10 USAG All-America honors, four ECAC individual titles, 13 All-ECAC honors, six Ivy Classic individual titles, and 13 All-Ivy Classic individual honors. A two-time NCAA Regionals qualifier, Morant helped the Bears win the 2014 ECAC team title and capture team championships at the Ivy Classic in 2014 and 2016. She posted career highs of 9.875 on vault (second all-time at Brown), 9.875 on bars, 9.875 on beam, 9.925 on floor (a Brown school record), and 39.175 in the all-around (second all-time at Brown). As a senior in 2017, she earned ECAC Co-Gymnast of the Year honors, qualified for the NCAA Regionals, won the ECAC floor title, and captured Ivy Classic titles on vault, bars, and floor. As a junior in 2016, she took home four USAG All-America honors, three All-ECAC accolades, and four All-Ivy Classic plaudits. As a sophomore in 2015, she totaled three USAG All-America honors, won the ECAC vault title, and claimed the Ivy Classic floor title. As a freshman in 2014, she won ECAC Rookie of the Year, took home two USAG All-America honors, qualified for NCAA Regionals, won ECAC titles in the all-around and beam, and took Ivy Classic titles on vault and floor. In the classroom, Morant garnered both Academic All-Ivy and ECAC All-Academic Team laurels.
