
Women’s History Month 2021: Nancy Fuld Neff ’76, Women’s Tennis/Women’s Basketball

Throughout the month of March, Brown Athletics will celebrate Women's History Month through a series of profiles. Over the course of the month, the Bears will recognize women who have made an impact on the university community and beyond.
Nancy Fuld Neff '76, Women's Tennis/Women's Basketball
A two-sport student-athlete in her time at College Hill, Nancy Fuld Neff '76 competed on two different courts, the tennis and basketball court. Neff shined in tennis where she posted 44 victories in 50 matches in first singles and first doubles from 1972-76. She captained the Bears in her final two seasons and was a finalist in both the New England Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament and the Ivy League Seven Sisters Tennis Tournament. She captured the Long Island Women's championship, was named MVP at New Englands, and drew a 16th ranking in Women's Eastern Tennis. A four-year basketball player, Neff was the second highest scorer on the 1975-76 team, averaging 12 points per game. Neff then attended the Wharton Graduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in the Class of 1978. She has served as a member of Brown's Athletic Advisory Council and is currently on the Board of Trustees at Randall's Island Park Alliance, Inc., serving as its Co-Chair since 2011.
