Two school records fall and Men's Swimming and Diving beats Yale.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's swimming and diving beat Yale in a dual meet, 174-126 on Friday night (Nov. 19) at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center. Jack Kelly broke two school record on the night for Brown.
The Bears started the night with a win in the 200 medley relay with the team of Reid Arwood, Jack Kelly, Chris Ma and Horace Qiao finishing in a time of 1:29.00.
Brown then swept the 1000 freestyle with Aidan Wilson winning the event in a time of 9:08.02. He was followed by Andrew Berzolla in second (9:18.15) and Mason Romantic in third (9:21.02).
"That was a special win for our program tonight," said head coach Kevin Norman "We haven't beaten Yale in a dual meet since 2001. Our team knew that, used that as motivation and rose to the challenge. I could not be more excited for this team. They've put in great work and deserved this moment."
In the 200 free, Michael Lincoln took second with a time of 1:35.74 and teammate Tyler Lu finished third, touching the wall in 1:37.88.
The Bears picked up another sweep in the 100 backstroke, led by Billy Knaul with a winning time of 48.49. Zach Le-Nguyen (48.81) and Arwood (49.06) took second and third, respectively.
Two of the top three spots belonged to Brown in the 100 breaststroke with Kelly setting the school record with a time of 53.44 and Harrison Powe finishing third with a time of 55.01.
Brown also went first and third in the 200 butterfly with Lukas Scheidl winning the event (1:46.85) and KJ Losee picking up third (1:47.91).
Trevor Labuda had the best day on the board for the Bears. Labuda finished second in the 3-meter with a score of 350.85 and third in the 1-meter with a score of 309.98.
Daniel Albert was the only top-three finisher for the Bears in the 50 free, touching the wall in 20.62. In the 100 free, Lincoln took second with a time of 44.43 and Lucas Hess finished third with a time of 45.10.
It was another sweep for the Bears in the 200 backstroke with Carlos Munoz Renteria earning the win in 1:46.31. Arwood picked up another second-place finish with a time of 1:47.01 and Le-Nguyen was third with a time of 1:47.39.
Kelly picked up a win in the 200 breaststroke with another school-record time of 1:55.44, winning by more than four seconds.
Berzolla finished second for the second time on the night in a distance freestyle, swimming a time of 4:29.13 in the 500 free. Lu finished third with a time of 4:29.81.
In the 100 butterfly, Qiao picked up the win with a time of 48.23. Nathan Depiero was third with a time of 49.04.
The top two spots in the 400 IM belonged to Brown with Scheidl winning in a time of 3:51.05 and Lincoln taking second with a time of 3:52.14.
Brown's team of Lu, Hess, Marcus Lee and Ben Hayes took second in the 400 free relay to close out the meet.
