
Waleffe, Schwartz named to All-Ivy teams

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Derek Waleffe and Owen Schwartz of the Brown men's soccer team have been named to the All-Ivy League teams, as announced by the league office Wednesday. Waleffe has been named to the All-Ivy First Team, while Schwartz has been named a member of the All-Ivy Second Team.
Waleffe scored a team-high eight goals on the year and, paired with his one assist, finished with 17 points. The goal and point total were both career-highs for the senior and placed him at third and seventh in the Ivy League respectively. Waleffe had two game-winning goals on the season, at Hartford and Columbia.
Schwartz led all Bear defenders in terms of offensive production with three goals and one assist for seven points, all three being career-highs. His goals and points were both good for third on the team. Schwartz had the game-winner earlier this month at Central Connecticut.
Waleffe was also named to the Academic All-Ivy League team for the second year in a row.
