Men's basketball heads to #19 North Carolina

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's basketball team will take on No. 19 North Carolina this Friday, Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Bears are coming off a season-opening win over Salve Regina which saw all 17 players get minutes. The Tar Heels also opened the season with a victory, 83-67 over Loyola.
Friday's game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network.
Scouting the Bears
- David Mitchell and Paxson Wojcik led the way for the Bears in their opener with 13 and 12 points respectively. Wojcik was 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and Mitchell was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
- Freshmen Nana Owusu-Anane and Kino Lilly Jr. saw big minutes for Brown in their debuts. Owusu-Anane led the team by shooting 71.4% from the field and Lilly Jr. led the team with six assists and three steals.
- "There were a lot of things that happened tonight that we need to improve upon, but there were a lot of positives too," head coach Mike Martin on the season-opening win.
Scouting the Tar Heels
- UNC was led by 22 points from Caleb Love and 20 from Brady Maek in its first game of the season.
- The Tar Heels built a 45-31 halftime lead which set them up to claim the win, despite only outscoring Loyola by two in the second half.
