PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Franklin Park in Boston on Saturday afternoon to race in the New England (NEICAAA) Championships.
A complete lists of participating schools, course maps, race history and more are available on the meet information page. A full recap will be available on BrownBears.com following the meet.
Both the Bears' men's and women's teams took home first place at their first two meets of the season – the Suffolk Short Course Classic and the Nassaney Invitational – before last competing on Sept. 24 at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
Senior Griffin McCauley has finished in the team's top three in all three meets, including leading the Brown pack in the last meet. Sophomore Evan Sherman took home the individual title in each of the first two meets of the season while freshman Miles Mullins has finished second on the team in each of the last two meets.
Senior Katherine Dokholyan led the Bears pack in the last meet in Beantown, and finished second on the team in each of the first two meets, including second overall at the Short Course Classic. Senior Emily Kompelien has led the pack twice through this season while taking first overall in the Short Course Classic. Sophomore Tevah Gevelber has also had a strong start to the year, finishing in the team's top three in all three races.
After this weekend, Brown will have one more race in the lead-up to the Ivy League Championships when they host the Rothenberg Run on Friday Oct. 22.
