EJ PERRY RECORDS WATCH
- EJ Perry moved into sole possession of third place on Brown's career touchdown passes list, surpassing Kyle Newhall-Caballero's mark of 39. Perry now has 41 touchdown passes through just 17 career games.
- Perry also moved into third place on the career list of total offense, passing Michael Dougherty, who has 5,891. He did so on a 17-yard first down pass on Brown's second possession of the game. He now has 6,196 yards of total offense, one of just three players in school history to eclipse the 6,000 yard mark.
- Perry also moved up one spot into sixth place for most pass completions in Brown history, and currently has 468 for his career, surpassing Kyle Slager.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Penn struck first, going 57 yards on eight plays before completing a 13-yard touchdown pass from Aidan Sayin to Ryan Cragun to take a 7-0 lead exactly six minutes in.
- Brown drew even on a 10-yard catch and run from Perry to Allen Smith with 2:13 remaining in the first, capping a 15-play, 75-yard drive. The touchdown pass was the 40th of Perry's career, moving him into sole possession of third place on the school's career touchdown passes list. On the drive, Brown converted twice on third down, including a 17-yard strike to Rockett, and converted two fourth downs on a seven-yard rush by Perry and an 11-yard pass to Sutton.
- Penn came right back, scoring just two plays layer on a 45-yard rush by Isaiah Malcome to take a 14-7 lead with 1:28 to go in the first.
- The Quakers went up by three touchdowns early in the second quarter, completing an eight play, 69-yard drive at the 11:12 mark, then came away with a defensive score just two plays later with a 42-yard pick-six to hold a 28-7 lead with 10:38 remaining until halftime.
- After Brown's ensuing drive stalled in plus-territory, Maron stepped up and drilled a season-long 48-yard field goal from between the hash marks to get Brown back on the board and make it 28-10.
- Gafa came away with a big sack on 3rd-and-long to help hold Penn to a 40-yard field goal with 3:40 remaining, giving them a 31-10 lead the carried into the locker room.
- Penn struck quickly once again late in the third, embarking on a three-play 80-yard drive, sparked by a 65-yard run by Malcolme to take a 38-10 lead at the 3:40 mark.
- Penn punched in another touchdown to go up 45-10 with 8:14 left in the fourth quarter, taking over after Brown failed to convert on 4th-and-3 on their own 17.
- Brown scored it final touchdown on a 21-yard strike to Graham Walker to pull within 45-17. Perry completed passes on seven consecutive plays for 60 yards on the drive, which spanned 12 plays and 82 yards.
Brown will return home next weekend for a matchup against Yale on Saturday, Nov. 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. on NESN, ESPN+ and on the radio on AM 790 WPRV. The game will also serve as Brown Salute of Service Day and will feature a pregame flyover.
