PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's hockey team will head to North Country to take on No. 7 Clarkson on Friday, Feb. 7 at 6:00 p.m. and St. Lawrence on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3:00 p.m.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
Clarkson is ranked seventh in the USCHO.com and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls and is 10-0-2 in home ice this season, with ties coming against Lindenwood (1-1, Oct. 25) and then No. 3 Cornell (1-1, Nov. 9). The Golden Knights skated to two ties last weekend, a 1-1 showing at No. 4 Cornell on Jan. 31 and a 2-2 tie at Colgate on Feb. 1. Elizabeth Giguère lead the team and conference in all three scoring categories, with 25 goals, 25 assists and 50 points. Her 0.89 goals per game average is tops in the nation while she is also sixth in points per game (1.79). Gabrielle David is second in scoring with 31 points on 11 goals and 20 helpers. Marie-Pier Coulombe paces the goaltenders and is second in the ECAC in goals-against average (1.28) and save percentage (.944), which both rank third in the country. She has posted five shutouts with the most recent coming against No. 10 Harvard, 4-0, on Jan. 25. Clarkson leads the conference in goals (90), assists (155) and power-play goals (21) and ranks sixth in the nation in goals and eighth in power-play scores.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
St. Lawrence will host Yale prior to welcoming the Bears on Saturday. The Saints went 0-1-1 last weekend with a 1-1 tie at Colgate on Jan. 31 and a 3-2 loss to No. 4 Cornell on Feb. 1. Kayla Vespa leads the squad with 30 points on 11 goals and a team-high 19 assists. Anna Segedi is tied with Vespa for the Saints' goal lead with 11 and also has 11 assists for 22 points to rank second in scoring. Lucy Morgan has seen the majority of the time in net for St. Lawrence (19 starts) and leads the goalies with a 1.47 goals-against average, a .942 save percentage and four shutouts.
BROWN TALKING POINTS
Sophomore Shay Maloney leads the Bears in points (11) with five goals and six assists. Senior Maybelline Beiring is second in scoring with eight points on one goal and a team-best seven helpers. Sophomore Tina Paolillo is third with seven points, tying Maloney for the goal lead with five while also contributing two assists. Paolillo has scored a goal in two-straight games and has recorded a tally in three of her last five contests. Calla Isaac leads the netminding group in games played (17) and a .912 save percentage. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native stopped a career-best 55 shots at Harvard on Nov. 1 and has recorded two shutouts this season (2-0 at RPI, 35 saves; 1-0 vs. Saint Anselm, 25 saves). Isaac has recorded 40 or more saves five times this season and had gone over 30 stops in 12 contests. Sophomore Hayley Kliczko has also seen significant time between the pipes with eight appearances. She registered a season-high 39 saves at Dartmouth on Nov. 2.
BEARS STARTING TO CLICK ON THE PENALTY KILL
Brown has gone five-straight games without surrendering a power-play goal, going a combined 19-for-19 on the penalty kill. The streak started with a two-game series against Saint Anselm (Jan. 24-25) where Brown went a combined 10-for-10. The Bears have since gone 4-for-4 versus Yale (Jan. 28), 2-for-2 against Quinnipiac (Jan. 31) and 3-for-3 versus No. 6 Princeton (Feb. 1), the ECAC leader in power-play percentage (.232 - 5th in the nation).
