Gymnastics’ Hansen Wins ECAC Specialist of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University gymnastics junior Emma Hansen has earned ECAC Specialist of the Week honors after scoring season highs on bars and beam at Bridgeport last weekend, the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hansen matched her career high with a 9.825 on beam and tallied a season-best 9.725 on bars as the Bears competed against the host Purple Knights and Central Connecticut State on Sunday.

She earned her second weekly award of the season after collecting ECAC Coaches Choice accolades on Jan. 22.

Hansen helped the Bears register a season-high 192.250 as a team, including a season-high 48.700 on beam alongside a 47.325 on vault, 48.250 on bars, and 47.975 on floor.

Next, Brown competes at New Hampshire with George Washington and West Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7:00 p.m. before hosting Bridgeport and Southern Connecticut on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 6:00 p.m.
