#12 Women's Squash Earns 6-3 Win Over #14 Middlebury

The 12th ranked Brown women's squash team took care of business against the 14th ranked Middlebury squad, earning a 6-3 road win Sunday afternoon. Junior Alexa Jacobs set the pace for the Bears with a tough 11-5,11-4,9-11,7-11,11-5 win at number one.

"A solid team performance capped by the match of the day at #1 where Jacobs '21 won in five," said head coach Stuart leGassick. "The team are looking forward to playing at home on Tuesday."

Brown dominated the middle of teh lineup, starting off with senior Hannah Seckendorf, who dropped the first game but came back for a 3-1 victory. Freshman Danielle Benstock at four, sophomore Isabella Kearns at five, senior Scarlett Bergam at six and junior Catherine Kimmell at seven were all 3-0 winners.

leGassick's squad returns to the hardwood at the Pizzitola Sports Center's Kate Brodsky Squash Pavillion on Tuesday, January 21, at 1:00 pm.
