#12 Women's Squash Takes Down #16 George Washington, 8-1

Annapolis, Md. - In a match played at the US Naval Academy, Brown's 12^th-ranked women's squash team earned an 8-1 decision over #16 George Washington University to earn its first win of the young season.

"We played at the Naval Academy for the first time and George Washington gave us a very competitive match - but the team competed hard," said head coach Stuart leGassick. "We are looking forward to competing against UVA on Wednesday!"

Brown was strong throughout the lineup, winning matches two through nine. Sophomore Abigail Dichter battled to a 3-2 win at number two, followed by senior Hannah Seckendorf (3-0) at three, freshman Danielle Benstock (3-0) at four, senior Isabel Young (3-0) at five, sophomore Isabella Kearns (3-2) at six, senior Scarlett Bergam (3-0) at seven, junior Catherine Kimmel (3-0) at eight and freshman Esha Lakhotia, a default winner at nine.

Brown is back in action at Virginia on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
