Seckendorf, Rogers Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's squash senior Hannah Seckendorf and men's track & field junior sprinter Bretram Rogers have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Jan. 6-12, Brown announced on Monday.

Senior Hannah Seckendorf won a pair of matches against ranked teams over the weekend as the No. 12 Bears hosted No. 8 Columbia on Saturday and No. 9 Cornell on Sunday. A native of New York, N.Y., Seckendorf opened the weekend with a 3-2 (5-11, 11-5, 11-5, 5-11, 11-5) win over the Lions' Erica McGillicuddy at No. 3. She closed the weekend with a 3-1 (5-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-9) win over the Big Red's Madison Miles at No. 3.
Bretram Rogers, Men's Track & Field, Junior, Grand Prairie, Texas
Junior sprinter Bretram Rogers broke his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles on Friday at the Beantown Challenge at Harvard's Gordon Track in the Bears' first meet of the 2020 calendar year. A native of Grand Prairie, Texas, Rogers crossed the finish line in a winning time of 7.91, besting the previous mark of 7.95 set last season.
