#12 Brown Women’s Squash Falls To #8 Columbia, 7-2, and #9 Cornell, 6-3

Providence, R.I. - Coach Stuart leGassick's Brown women's squash team hosted #8 Columbia on Saturday and #9 Cornell on Sunday, dropping decisions to the Lions, 7-2, and the Big Red, 6-3.
We had back-to-back hard fought matches," said leGassick. " Some of the players were playing were playing their very best squash - but the Big Red were a deep team."
At number three, Bears' senior Hannah Seckendorf had a big weekend, first with a marathon 5-11, 11-5, 11-5, 5-11, 11-5 victory over Columbia, followed by a 3-1 victory over Cornell. Sophomore Isabella Kearns, playing number six, s also found success against Columbia, coming back from a 2-1 deficit to come away with a 8-11, 11-7, 10-12, 11-4, 12-10.
Freshman Danielle Benstock came away with a 3-1 victory at number four against Cornell, while senior Scarlett Bergam cruised to a 3-1 win at number seven against the Big Red.
The Bears return to action on the road vs. George Washington on Tuesday, January 14, starting at 6:30 pm.
