PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University women's soccer will add goalkeeper Kayla Thompson, a junior transfer student-athlete from West Virginia University, to its roster for the fall of 2019, Brown head coach Kia McNeill announced on Thursday.
"Kayla is going to be a great addition to our team and more specifically our goalkeeper unit," McNeill said. "She's explosive, agile, and a tremendous shot-stopper who reads the game well. Beyond that, she's a leader, a great communicator, and a proven winner. Coming from a well-respected soccer program like WVU, she knows the work ethic and discipline needed to compete at the highest level. She's someone who will add value to our team and the Brown community as a whole. I can't wait to get her to campus in August and get to work."
