
Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Harvard on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's lacrosse team will welcome Harvard to Stevenson-Pincince Field on Saturday, April 20 for a 4:00 p.m. game. The contest will be streamed live on ESPN+ and will also appear on NESNplus.

BEAR LEADERS
Sophomore Risa Mosenthal leads the Bears in both goals and points with 48 goals and seven assists for 55 points. The attacker broke the school record for goals in a game on March 31 against Fresno State, logging nine scores which also tied the Ivy League record. Junior Emma DeGennaro ranks second on the team in scoring with 33 points on 26 goals and seven helpers. Sophomore Maggie Fowler leads the Bears in assists with 23 and has nine goals for 32 points, third highest on the team. Mosenthal leads the conference in goals and is second in points while Fowler is fifth in assists. Defensively, sophomore Mason Warble has a team high 26 caused turnovers, good for second in the conference. Rookie Claire Jeschke paces the Bears in draw controls with 37 while junior KC Williams has 31. Freshman Erin Tucker has started all 13 games in net and has put together a 12.04 goals-against average and a .432 save percentage. She is third in the conference in saves per game (8.54) and has registered double-digit stops in eight contests this year.
CENTURY MARK
Sophomore Risa Mosenthal eclipsed the 100 goal mark for her career against Fresno State on March 31 and now has 103 career goals, good for fifth all-time in the Brown record book. Suzanne Bailey '91 holds the record for career scores with 141.
LAST TIME OUT
Brown was defeated by Cornell, 10-7, on Saturday, April 13 at Schoellkopf Field. The Big Red benefitted from a 6-3 lead after the first half and equaled Brown's total of four goals in the second. Freshman Sophia DeRosa led the Bears in scoring with two goals and two assists while freshman Claire Jeschke added a goal and an assist. Cornell held sophomore Risa Mosenthal without a goal for the first time in her career. Mosenthal had previously scored at least two goals in each of her first 26 collegiate games.
ALL-TIME VS. HARVARD
The Crimson hold a 31-11 all-time series advantage against the Bears. Harvard captured last year's meeting, 17-14. Brown's last win came in 2013 (15-9) in Providence.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard is 6-7 overall and is 1-4 in Ivy League play, having defeated Yale, 18-8 (March 24), for its lone conference win. The Crimson went 1-1 last week, defeating UMass Lowell, 15-8, on Wednesday while falling to No. 15 Princeton, 14-12, on Saturday. As a team, Harvard has the fewest turnovers in the Ivy League, averaging 13.54 per game. Keeley MacAfee leads the squad in all three scoring categories, with 41 goals and 17 assists for 58 points. MacAfee ranks third in the conference in goals and is fourth in points. Grace Hulslander is second on the team in scoring with 25 goals and eight helpers for 33 points. Shea Jenkins is the defensive stopper for the team with 18 caused turnovers and also has 50 draw controls, one behind draw control leader Hulslander. Grace Rotondo has started all 13 games in net and has an 11.76 goals-against average and a .408 save percentage.

Sophomore attack Risa Mosenthal was added to the Tewaaraton Watch List in the first round of additions on March 21 in an announcement by the organization. Mosenthal leads Brown in goals (48) and points (55). The Campton, N.H. native has recorded at least a hat trick in nine of her 12 games played this season. Nationally, Mosenthal is seventh in goals per game (4.00) and ninth in free position goals per game (1.42). Her 48 scores this year are tied for third best in a season at Brown while her 55 points are tied for seventh best for a season. As a freshman, Mosenthal led the Bears in scoring with 64 points while also notching a team-high 55 goals on her way to Second Team All-Ivy honors.
BEARS LEAD THE IVY LEAGUE IN CAUSED TURNOVERS
Brown leads the Ivy League in caused turnovers, averaging 11.31 per game. Sophomore Mason Warble leads the Bears with 26 caused turnovers while senior Zoe Verni, junior Emily Fryer and freshman Erin Schafer all have 15 apiece. Warble's 2.00 caused turnovers per game are second best in the conference. Brown also ranks 14th in the nation in the category.
