PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Cat Seitz hit her fourth home run of the season, and sophomore Karina Chavarria tallied the game-winning, walk-off RBI in the eighth inning of game two as Brown University softball swept a doubleheader from Yale University, 5-2 and 2-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Brown Softball Field.

In an Ivy League twin bill, the Bears (10-17, 3-8 Ivy) jumped out to a 5-0 lead on their way to the win in game one behind a combined four RBIs from Seitz (Poway, Calif.) and Chavarria (San Bruno, Calif.) before Seitz's homer and Chavarria's game-winning RBI lifted the Bears to the walk-off win over the Bulldogs (12-22, 7-7 Ivy) in extra innings in game two.

"Today was a total team effort, and a great day for our program," Brown head coach Kate Refsnyder said. Ivy Hobson did a great job on the base paths to score the game-winning run."

Seitz finished the day 4-for-7 with three RBIs, three runs, a home run, and a double while Chavarria went 3-for-8 with three RBIs, two doubles, and a run, bringing home the game-winning run in game two with a bunt.
