PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's track & field junior sprinter May Stern and men's track & field senior jumper Jason Katz have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Feb. 18-24, Brown announced on Monday.

Junior sprinter May Stern won the 400 meters at the 2019 Ivy League Heptagonal Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships at Harvard University's Gordon Track on Sunday. A native of Providence, R.I., Stern captured the Ivy title in the 400 meters with a time of 54.44 to edge Penn's Cecil Ene in the final ten meters for third all-time in program history and the fastest at Brown in ten years.

Jason Katz, Men's Track & Field, Senior, Wyckoff, N.Y.
Senior jumper Jason Katz won the long jump for the second straight year at the Ivy League Heptagonal Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships at Harvard University's Gordon Track on Saturday. A native of Wyckoff, N.Y., Katz defended his title in the long jump with a winning leap of 24-11.25, breaking the school record on his second attempt, as he passed Jeffrey Nord '99 (24-9, 1998) all-time in program history. The jump was the fourth-best in Heps meet history.
