PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's tennis team defeated Boston College, 5-2, on Tuesday night at the Pizzitola Sports Center. After falling in the doubles round, the Bears responded by taking five of the six matches in the singles round for the victory.
"Coming off of a very tough weekend the guys showed that they were ready to continue fighting," said head coach Tim Gray. "This was a very solid win against a talented and feisty Boston College squad."
Sophomore Ching Lam (Sai Kung, Hong Kong) and junior Jacob Walker (Bethesda, Md.) got the match started with a 6-3 win in second doubles but the Eagles would win the round by collecting wins in first (6-3) and third (7-5) doubles.
Lam evened the match when he won his second singles match, 6-0, 6-4. Boston College next regained its lead by winning first singles but Brown would go on to win out the round to claim the match win.
