Softball Releases 46-Game Schedule for 2020 Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University softball will play in 46 games, compete in the states of North Carolina, California, and Florida, and take part in 21 Ivy League games as part of its 2020 schedule, head coach Kate Refsnyder announced on Thursday.
2020 Brown Softball Schedule
During the tournament portion of their schedule, the Bears will make trips to the states of North Carolina, California, and Florida to start the year. In Ivy League play, Brown will square off with all seven conference opponents three times apiece with a doubleheader on Saturday and single game on Sunday.
Brown opens its 2020 season with the Tournament by the Beach hosted by UNC Wilmington from Feb. 21-23. The Bears take on the host Seahawks on Friday, Feb. 21 at 3:00 p.m. in their season opener.
The Bears make another out-of-region trip the next weekend when they play in the San Diego Classic hosted by both the University of San Diego and San Diego State from Feb. 28 to Mar. 1. The program concludes its tournament slate at The Spring Games in Madeira Beach, Fla., from Mar. 13-15.
Brown then hosts its home opener against Rhode Island on Mar. 18 at 4:00 p.m. prior to beginning Ivy League play with a three-game series at Cornell from Mar. 21-22.
The team returns to non-conference action with a doubleheader at Central Connecticut on Mar. 24 before a single home game against Bryant on Mar. 25.
The Bears entertain Harvard in their first Ancient Eight home series from Mar. 28-29 before hitting the road for a pair of three-game series at Princeton (Apr. 4-5) and at Yale (Apr. 11-12).
Following a road game at Providence (Apr. 15), Brown hosts Penn for three games from Apr. 18-19. The Bears close non-conference play at Boston University (Apr. 21) before competing in their final road series at Dartmouth (Apr. 25-26).
Brown plays its final five games at home, hosting Maine for a twin bill on Apr. 29 before welcoming Columbia for a three-game series from May 2-3.
