PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's swimming & diving team was defeated by Yale, 164-136, to open the 2019-20 season on Saturday at Payne Whitney Gym. The Bears won seven out of 16 events on the day and five different swimmers recorded first place finishes.
"Amazing effort by the team today on the road against a very talented and very deep Yale team," said head coach Kevin Norman. "We won seven of 16 events including both relays. And to win the last two events of the meet, the 200 IM and 400 free relay, shows how tough and resilient this group is. Our seniors did a fantastic job leading today throughout a long, competitive meet. I'm so proud of this group."
