Men’s Crew Wraps Up Fall Season at Foot of the Charles

BOSTON – Brown men's crew earned a second-place finish in the varsity four event as the Bears wrapped up the fall season Saturday morning at the Foot of the Charles.
"The team has been training hard and we were excited to have the chance to compete against top crews and to wrap up the fall season with a strong performance," said head coach Paul Cooke. "This fall, the crews have clearly shown that they race well. I am confident that the entire squad will continue to work hard and improve through the coming months."
The Bears faced off against crews from both Northeastern and Harvard at the annual regatta. The Brown A boat took second overall out of 16 crews in the varsity four event, finishing the course in a time of 12:58.4, just behind Harvard at 12:54.3. The Brown B boat crossed in fourth at 13:01.1, before the program's other two entries took tenth and 13th overall.
Brown captured fourth in the varsity eight event with a time of 12:34.5. The Brown B boat placed sixth in the eights at 12:57.1.
