#16 Brown Men's Squash Beats #15 Cornell, Falls to #2 Columbia

Providence, R.I. - Brown's 16th ranked men's squash team defeated #15 Cornell for the first time in 17 years with a 5-4 win over the Big Red Saturday afternoon. The Bears completed the weekend with an 8-1 loss to second-ranked Columbia on Sunday.
Sophomore Harrison Boyer posted a 2-0 weekend at number eight, beating both Cornell and Columbia by a 3-1 margin.
The win over the Big Red came down to Andrew Wei at number three, with the freshman earning an 11-8, 6-11, 11-8, 11-5 decision. Also earning wins over the Big Red were sophomore Nick Pitaro, 3-0, at number five; sophomore Blake Gilbert-Bono, 3-0 at number six and junior Palek Goel, 3-2 at number nine.
Coach Stuart leGassick's team is back in action again on Thursday, February 8, hosting Williams at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
