Gymnastics' Barca-Hall Gains ECAC Coaches Choice Weekly Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University gymnastics senior Anya Barca-Hall has gained ECAC Coaches Choice weekly honors after earning First Team All-Ivy Classic on floor at the 2018 Ivy Classic on Sunday, the Eastern College Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday.
A native of Santa Cruz, Calif., Barca-Hall took second place on floor behind a personal-best score of 9.875, eclipsing her previous career high of 9.700. She has persevered through an elbow injury this season, putting together a floor routine which uses her arm only twice.
A total of seven Brown student-athletes gained All-Ivy Classic accolades on Sunday as the Bears placed fourth with a 192.975 – their second-highest score of the season.
Next, Brown hosts Bridgeport, Brockport, and Southern Connecticut on Sunday, Mar. 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center in its final home meet of the season.
