
Hanson, Howell Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Women's ice hockey junior forward Sena Hanson and men's soccer senior forward Toby Howell have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, Brown announced on Monday.

Sena Hanson, Women's Ice Hockey, Junior, New Brighton, Minn.
Junior forward Sena Hanson helped lead the Bears to two wins over ranked opponents this past weekend. A native of New Brighton, Minn., she recorded a team-best five points (four goals, one assist) on the weekend and netted both of Brown's game-winning goals. On Friday, she tallied both the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 4-3 victory over No. 9/10 Colgate. She followed up that performance with two goals and one assist in a 4-3 win against No. 6/6 Cornell.

Toby Howell, Men's Soccer, Senior, Bradenton, Fla.
Senior forward Toby Howell scored the game-winning goal in the Bears' 1-0 win over Yale on Senior Day on Saturday at Stevenson-Pincince Field. In the 29th minute, the Bradenton, Fla., native sent a one-timed shot inside the left post from 12 yards out for his second game-winning goal in Ivy League play this season. Howell has netted four goals on the year with all of them coming in Ivy competition.
