Women’s Soccer’s Rosen Wins Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown University women's soccer freshman forward Rebecca Rosen has won Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors following the Bears' comeback win over defending Ivy League champion Princeton, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday.
A native of Port Washington, N.Y., Rosen scored a goal in the 42nd minute as Brown rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Princeton, 3-2, on Saturday. She found the back of the net at the 41:59 mark, driving a shot into the goal from the edge of the penalty area to begin the Bears' comeback.
Rosen played the full 90 minutes for the Bears, dropping back into the midfield from her usual forward position to fill a needed role. Rosen helped Brown post back-to-back road wins (2016, 2018) at Princeton for the first time since the Bears claimed road victories against the Tigers in 1992 and 1994.
Rosen and the Bears return home to Stevenson-Pincince Field to host Harvard University on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 3:30 p.m. (ESPN+/NESNplus).
Video of all Brown women's soccer home contests and all Ivy League games, home and away, will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
