Women's Tennis Falls to Tulsa, 4-0

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Brown women's tennis team was defeated by Tulsa, 4-0, at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend hosted by Michigan at the Varsity Tennis Center on Saturday.

The Hurricanes were able to take the doubles point with a 6-1 win in second doubles and a 6-4 showing in third doubles.

For singles action, Tulsa took first singles 6-0, 6-1, and No. 122 Martina Okalova followed in second singles with a 6-1, 6-3 win over senior Maddie Stearns (Short Hills, N.J.). Junior Katie Ta (Mission Viejo, Calif.) battled in the sixth spot but Tulsa claimed the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win.

The Bears compete again tomorrow against Gonzaga in a 9:30 a.m. match.
