Desmond Cambridge Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

Providence, R.I. – Brown freshman forward Desmond Cambridge (Nashville, TN) was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after he made a big splash in his collegiate debut, scoring 15 points in Brown's 106-78 season opening win over Johnson & Wales.
Cambridge, who came to Brown from The Hun School (NJ), got off to a spectacular start with an alley-oop dunk to open the game on a pass from sophomore Brandon Anderson. He also registered two rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot against the Wildcats, while converting 4-of-4 free throws and connecting on a trey.
The Bears are back in action tonight at Quinnipiac in a game broadcast on ESPN3, starting at 7:00 pm at TD Bank Sports Center.
