
Men's Tennis Defeated by No. 26 Columbia, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's tennis team was defeated by No. 26 Columbia, 6-1, on Sunday. Sophomore Jack Haworth (Corby, England) posted a win for the Bears in third singles.
Columbia won the first two doubles matches to seal the point. Sophomores Peter Tarwid (Lake Forest, Ill.) and Anthony Arocho (Norridge, Ill.) posted a 7-5 third doubles win.
In singles play, Tarwid played a competitive match against No. 71 Shawn Hadavi, but was defeated 5-7, 7-5, 6-4. Haworth's victory came in third singles in two sets, 6-4, 6-4.
The Bears will next travel to Dartmouth for a single Ivy League match on Friday, April 15, starting at 3:00 p.m.
