BOSTON – Brown men's crew wrapped up its fall campaign on Sunday when the Bears competed at the Tail of the Charles Regatta along the Charles River in Boston.
After three weeks of training since the Head of the Charles, the Bears took to the water with nearly the entire squad, racing four 4+ boats and a trio of eights in the final race of the fall. Brown competed at the annual event against regional foes Harvard, Boston University, MIT, Northeastern and Boston College.
The first 4+ finished in a close third behind only Harvard and Northeastern, crossing in a time of 13:06.4, while the other four boats finished eighth, 10th and 13th, respectively. The first eight improved on the previous year's performance with a second-place finish to Northeastern in a time of 12:38.1, while the other two eights finished fifth and 11th to round out the lineup.
