
Hagstrom Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Freshman Jack Hagstrom (Middleton, Wis.) of the Brown men's soccer team has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Hagstrom notched his first career collegiate goal to help Brown to a pair of wins over the weekend. He ►scored in the 97th minute on Friday to lead Brown to a 2-1 overtime victory at nationally-ranked Providence College and was part of the backline that shut down Holy Cross at home, 1-0, on Sunday. He has started all three games for the Bears, helping the team to a pair of shutouts and an undefeated start to the season.
This is the second straight weekly honor for the Bears, after senior Tariq Akeel was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week on Sept. 7.

Brown hits the road for the pair of games next weekend, visiting Georgia State on Friday and Clemson on Sunday. Brown's next home game is on Friday, Sept. 25 against FGCU at 7 p.m.
