
Women's Tennis Clipped By Cornell, 4-3

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's tennis team battled hard before ultimately falling to Cornell, 4-3, in an Ivy League match at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday.
The Bears fall to the .500 mark at 8-8 and drop to 1-2 in Ivy play with the loss.
The Big Red claimed the doubles point after Priyanka Shah/Lizzie Stewart edged out Brown's Hannah Camhi/Maddie Stearns, 8-7 (4) in a tiebreaker.
Dayna Lord knotted the match at 1-1 after a straight sets win over Dena Tanenbaum, 6-3, 6-2, but Cornell rallied to take the No. 2-4 singles matches to clinch the win.
Stearns and Ammu Mandalap scored wins in the No. 5 and No. 6 slots respectively to account for the final score.
The Bears return to action tomorrow at noon as they play host to #46 Columbia.
