LAST TIME OUT
Dakotah Savitcheff's seven goals powered the #19/18 Albany Great Danes to a convincing 15-4 victory over the Brown women's lacrosse team on Wednesday at John Fallon Field.
Brown falls to 5-6 overall after dropping their third consecutive contest, while Albany improves to 10-2 and winners of six of their last seven outings.
Emma Dahle (Wynnewood, Pa.) and Lauren Toy (Kentfield, Calif.) each tallied a goal and an assist for the Bears, with freshman Hannah Langmuir (Providence, R.I.) recording her first collegiate points with two assists in just her second appearance of the season.
BEARS TO HONOR SIX SENIORS ON SATURDAY
The team will recognize seniors Abby Bunting, Julia Carrellas, Alyssa DiBona, Janie Gion, Meghan O'Brien, and Kellie Roddy prior to Saturday's game for Senior Day.
LANGMUIR EARNS FIRST COLLEGIATE POINTS
Brown rookie and Providence native Hannah Langmuir notched two assists at Albany on Wednesday in just her second appearance of the season for the Bears.
BUNTING GETS FIRST HATTY IN OVER TWO YEARS
Abby Bunting's three goals against Harvard on April 4 marked the senior's first hat trick since March 30, 2013 against Dartmouth. Bunting also chipped in with a goal and a team high three shots at Albany on Wednesday.
DAHLE POSTS CAREER HIGH THREE POINTS
Another rookie shined on Tuesday against San Diego State, this time it was Emma Dahle who posted two goals and an assist for a career best three-point effort. Dahle also chipped in with a goal and assist at Albany on Wednesday. She ranks sixth on the team with 11 points (7g, 4a).
TOY STORY
Junior Lauren Toy paces the Brown offense with 29 points on 22 goals and seven assists over 11 games. Toy has netted hat tricks in five games this season, including a career high four-goal outburst at Colgate on March 24. She also posted three goals and an assist against San Diego State on Tuesday and added a pair against Harvard on Saturday. Toy currently rides a five-game point streak and has tallied a point in nine of eleven contests this season.
ROWDY RODDY
Goaltender Kellie Roddy ranks in the top-25 nationally with a .456 save percentage and ranks second in the Ivy League with 7.55 saves per game.
Freshman Yuna Hur tallied a career high four goals against San Diego State on March 31. Demonstrating a quick stick, all four of Hur's goals were assisted from point-blank range.
NESI POSTS THIRD CAREER MULTI-POINT EFFORT
Junior Sarah Nesi notched her third career multi-point outing with a goal and an assist at Colgate on March 24. She also tallied a goal at Albany on Wednesday.
SERIES HISTORY – COLUMBIA
The Bears have dominated the all-time series against Columbia dating back to 1998, registering a perfect 17-0 mark against the Lions, including a 9-6 win in New York City last season.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
Six Lions have scored at least 10 goals this season, but Taylor Quinn boasts the top performance for Columbia, tallying 21 goals and five assists. After winning 4-of-5, Columbia looks to rebound after dropping contests to Penn and Holy Cross last week. In goal, freshman Kelsey Gedin has logged all 660 minutes between the pipes, checking in with a .472 save percentage and a 10.18 goals against average.
