Men's Hockey's Lorito Signs ATO with Albany Devils

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Matt Lorito (Oakville, Ontario) of the Brown men's hockey team has signed an amateur tryout (ATO) agreement with the AHL's Albany Devils, announced by General Manager Chris Lamoriello Friday afternoon. Albany is the affiliate of the NHL's New Jersey Devils.
Lorito recently wrapped up a standout four-year career at Brown, finishing with 106 career points, behind 47 goals and 59 assists in 118 games played. A team captain, Lorito registered 23 points (11g, 12a) in 29 games as a senior this past season, earning Second Team All-Ivy accolades. He became the 24th member of the program's 100-point club, playing primarily at wing on the team's top line.
Lorito enjoyed a breakout sophomore campaign in 2012-13, when he paced the team in scoring with 22 goals and 15 assists for 37 points, leading Brown to the ECAC Tournament Championship game. He was named to the All-ECAC, All-Ivy and All-ECAC Tournament Teams for his efforts. He also posted 29 points (10 g, 19 a) as a junior during the 2013-14 season.
Lorito, who was named a men's hockey candidate for the Senior CLASS Award, is a three-time member of the ECAC All-Academic Team.
