Men's Tennis Opens Season With a 5-2 Triumph Over William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Brown men's tennis team opened up the 2015 dual match season with a 5-2 triumph over William & Mary at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center on Saturday.

Freshmen Peter Tarwid and Brandon Yeoh, alongside of the duo of Ivan Kravtchenko and Aaron Sandberg, claimed the doubles point over their Tribe counterparts.

With the Bears holding a 3-2 edge, a key victory from Sandberg out of the No. 6 slot sealed the game for Brown. The freshman outlasted William & Mary's Alec Miller, 3-6, 7-6(3), 6-4 to the seal the match for Brown after vital singles wins from Gregory Garcia, Yeoh, and Kravtchenko.

The Bears return to action tomorrow at VCU beginning at 11 a.m. before returning home for a Saturday doubleheader against Quinnipiac and Bryant on Feb. 7.
