RICHMOND, Va. – The Brown men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in dual match play after upsetting No. 50 Virginia Commonwealth, 4-3, on Sunday morning at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.

For the second consecutive day, the duos of Peter Tarwid and Brandon Yeoh, alongside of the pair of Ivan Kravtchenko and Aaron Sandberg, claimed the No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches to get Brown on the board early.

The doubles point loomed large on Sunday as the team's split the six singles matches, with Brown securing victory on Aaron Sandberg's clincher over Louis Ishizaka, 6-4, 6-4. The Bears' 4-6 slots came up large thanks to victories by Yeoh and Tarwid, as the Brown freshmen excelled in the upset over the Rams on Sunday.

The Bears return home next Saturday for a doubleheader against Quinnipiac and Bryant beginning at 11 a.m. in the Pizzitola Sports Center.
