
Men's Water Polo to Play at UC San Diego in NCAA Play-In Game

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University men's water polo has earned the fifth seed in the National Collegiate Men's Water Polo Championship and will play at fourth-seeded UC San Diego in a play-in game on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 4:30 p.m. pacific time, the NCAA has announced.

The Bears (27-6) earned an automatic berth into the tournament after winning its first Collegiate Water Polo Association Championship since 1985 with a 7-6 win over Princeton in the title game on Sunday.
The Tritons (15-9) gained a spot in the tournament after claiming the Western Water Polo Association title. UCSD will also host the semifinals and finals of the championship on Dec. 6 and 7 respectively at Canyonview Pool.
Brown will make its first appearance in the NCAA Championship since 1990 and for the 12th time overall. The program also reached the tournament in 1977, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1989.
UC San Diego has set admission for Saturday's game against Brown at $5.
