
Former Men's Soccer Standout Jon Okafor '11 Signs Contract with MyPa of the Finnish First Division

PROVIDENCE, RI – Former Brown men's soccer standout Jon Okafor '11 has signed a professional contract with MyPa, of the Finnish First Division, following a trial period with the club.
A member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team Pool while he was at Brown, Okafor was drafted by Chivas USA in the third round of the 2011 MLS Superdraft.
In his four years with the Bears, Okafor played in 64 matches, compiling 40 points on 14 goals and 12 assists. He made three trips to the NCAA Tournament, and as a senior in 2010, led Brown to a 12-4-4 record, an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16, and a #10 National ranking in the final NSCAA poll.
