
Leigh Carroll and Ben Dann Turn In Strong Performances At U-23 World Rowing Championship

Brown University was well represented at the Under-23 World Championships in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with Leigh Carroll '12 earning a bronze medal for the United States women's eight and Ben Dann '12 placing 11th in the men's single competition.
Carroll, a member of the Bears' men's crew, was the coxswain for the women's eight that placed third behind Canada (6:03.23) and New Zealand (6:06.2). The United States rowed in 6:07.37, finishing ahead of Germany and Great Britain in the finals.
Dann, representing the Craftsbury Sculling Center, rowed well throughout and placed fifth in the B final at the World Championship to finish 11th overall.
