
Water Polo Shuts Down Wagner, 6-2

Princeton, NJ- The Brown women's water polo team (6-1)
defeated Wagner 6-2 in the first round of the ECAC Championships at
Princeton University this afternoon. Lauren Presant led the offense
with three goals, while Stephanie Laing picked up 12 saves in the
goal to lead the defense. The Bears will now take on Marist College
in the semi-finals at 8:30 p.m. tonight!
Wagner jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Bears were bale to
rebound with Laing locking down the Wagner shooters as Presant and
Sarah Glick took over on offense. The Bears outscored Wagner 2-0 in
the second quarter, 3-0 in the third and 1-0 in the fourth to earn
the 6-2 win.
To go along with her three goals, Presant also picked up four
steals. Glick tallied two goals, an assist and three steals, while
freshman Brittany Westerman added the last tally.
