A number of Brown oarsmen competed at the annual CRASH-B competition in Boston over the weekend, including Alex Fleming '12 and Scott Morgan '10, who each pulled a 5:58.4 to tie for fifth overall and third in the U-23 division. A pair of international elite rowers took the top two overall spots, as Tim Grohmann of Germany came in at 5:48.7, followed by Estonia's Allar Raja in 5:50.6.
The CRASH-B competition is a series of simulated 2000 meter races, with competitors going in heats of 16 on ergometers. Only a handful of collegiate rowers typically break six minutes for the event each spring, but Brown had two student-athletes break the mark for the second consecutive year.
